Busy, Busy, Busy

As almost every student knows, college life can very easily become incredibly stressful.  We overload on classwork, have to be on the executive board of every student organization, spend hours attempting the unattainable in the gym and search for meaningful jobs and internships that will fill our resumes.  And we're always concerned about our social lives, do we go out enough or way too much?  Its no surprise that come mid-semester we're running from class to meeting to class with our backpacks filled to the brim and juggle five other items in our hands.  We leave our apartments and dorms in the morning knowing we won't be back for at least another twelve hours.  When we head out at night we either have too much fun or leave early due to exhaustion.

Why do we works so hard?  Because we want to have it all and be it all.  In our modern college society the competition is on to be the best, and not just in one area but in everything.  Someone, somewhere must have whispered in our ear that perfection is attainable because perfection is what everyone is searching for. Logically, we know that we are being set up to fail but we'll still try anyway...
